Absences

Requests For Absence During Term Time

If you wish to seek the Headteacher’s permission to take your child out of school during term time, please do so in writing, preferably by completing the application form which is available from the School Office, or which can be downloaded by clicking the link below:

Absence Request Form

Please note: Before making a request for absence, parents should read the "Attendance & Punctuality Policy" (See "POLICIES" section.)

Reporting Absences

Parents are expected to contact school by telephone or in person, as soon as possible on the first day of absence.  If you do not inform school then the school office will text or call you to ask for a reason.

(Please see "Attendance & Punctuality Policy" for more information)

Fixed Penalty Notices

Under the Education Act 1996, parents and carers have a duty to make sure their children regularly attend school. If parents or carers fail to do this, they can be prosecuted. You could receive a Penalty Notice of £60 which will increase to £120 if not paid within 21 days.

Please find below a copy of a Education Penalty Notice Warning letter sent to parents in September 2021:-
