The Headteacher and Governors of St Jude’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a Reception class teacher to join our school team. Level 2 Teaching Assistant

One year fixed contract, working 36 hours per week, term time plus 1 additional week.

Monday & Tuesday 8.45am – 3.15pm. Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 8.45am – 5.15pm.

The Headteacher and Governors of St Jude’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support a child in lower KS1 and assist in our After School Club. This is an exciting opportunity to join our welcoming school community and make a difference.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have some experience of working with children who have difficulty with; communication and interaction, concentration and motivational skills or social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Have the confidence to deliver speech and language programmes (training will be provided, if necessary).
  • Keep accurate records, i.e. in relation to the child’s progress.
  • Enable children to access the curriculum in an inclusive and meaningful way.
  • Support on a 1:1 basis in class from 8.45am-3.15pm, and assist in After School Club Wednesday – Friday from 3.15pm-5.15pm.
  • Promote independence, confidence and self-esteem.
  • Be keen to build warm, positive relationships with families, valuing their role in each child’s learning journey.
  • Embrace and uphold the values of the school, “Together, we learn, love and grow with Jesus”.
